I had seen several pictures of people dressed up as the Wicked Witch of the East but a lot of them just were not big enough for my imagination.
I found a huge box and used that at the base of the house. I used the flaps from one side of the box to build the roof. I closed the top part of the box up and put a hole the size of my head in it so that the box would sit on my shoulders. I then shingled the roof with cardboard to make it look like a real house.
The roof was removable so that I could get in and out easily. I painted the box white and cut out 2 windows in the front to put my arms out. For the other windows I painted them black and added curtains to all the windows. I then added details like the stockings and shoes and I was ready to rock!
I won a contest at work with this bad boy.
