I made a Homemade Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Costume this year for Halloween 2010. I used 2 cardboard boxes, for the body, and head, and a couple of frisbees for the hat. I cut an old navy blue hoody for the bib and hat part and I used white trash bags, to cover the body and head..
The eyes were just drawn on paper, and I used electrical tape (red, blue,and white) for the writing on the hat and bib lines and I used glue and clear tape to hold the trash bags together.
It turned out better than I expected. Hope you like it.
