Eve Costume

For this Eve Costume I started by finding garland of some sort of leaves at my local Hobby Lobby. Then I went in search for a nude body corset of some sort. I ended up getting a pair of nude boyshort underwear and nude sports-like bra from Wal-mart. I also purchased a fake apple from Hobby Lobby and used my friend's hot glue gun.

We started with the shorts. We found it was easiest to pull the leaves off the strand and individually glue them onto the shorts. With one person wearing the shorts, the other person CAREFULLY glued the leaves on. This was a very long and tedious process. We did the same process for the sports bra.

With the left over string from the leaves I made a necklace by wrapping the strand around the apple and super gluing it into a hole we made. The super glue when dry looked like poison coming out of the apple and turned out really neat. I had left over garland and wrapped a piece around my ankle.

I worked on this Eve Costume for one night (4 hours) and an afternoon (3 hours) total.

I wanted and needed a costume that would keep me warm, be easy to move around in, and would be playful and sexy but not too revealing. Found a nude bodysuit online for only $21, bought a cheap wig, found the apple and the snake at a thrift store, and was able to have a great Homemade Eve Costume for only $35.

I used greenery from my home decorations (seriously) and cut off the leaves and a "vine" to wrap around my waist. I sewed on the leaves, as I wanted to be able to remove them if I should ever need the bodysuit for another costume! I pinned the snake to myself and attached the apple with florist wire so I wouldn't have to carry any props around all night. I used a little of my bronzer and eye shadow to lightly brush on a belly button and a tummy.

I wanted to be Eve for Halloween but I didn't have an Adam at the time so I did Eve on her own (which was still a huge hit). The Homemade Sexy Eve Costume was very simple and inexpensive to make and I got a million compliments. I bought a pair of nude briefs (a size larger than I usually wear) and hot-glued fake leaves, ivory and flowers to them. I did the same with an old bra I had and wore it with clear straps. I also glued flowers and leaves to an old pair of sandals that I never wore anymore. I used a large rubber snake and an oversized apple as props. I also wrapped a strand of ivory and flowers in my hair as a crown of flowers.

Unfortunately since Halloween in Michigan is typically freezing I did wear nylons and a little jacket.

This is so cute! I love that you incorporated a wreath of flowers on your head and the snake hugging your body! I can't wait to try this. Absolutely creatively genius!

I pretty much got an old pair of shorts and a swim suit top, and hot glued a bunch of leaves from a vine I had around the house for my Homemade Sexy Eve Halloween Costume. I even had some old brown heels I hot glued leaves on.

Everyone loved it. The best costume I've had. probably because O was half naked! Enjoy!
