Coolest Homemade Baby in a Stroller Cabbage Costume

I just could not resist having my newborn be a Cabbage Patch kid for her first Halloween! This is my 10th child and having just lost my job, we had to be fiscally creative. This outfit only cost us $6.00.

We got the crochet orange yarn wig from ebay in newborn size ( we also chose the color to match her dress) The dress was a gift and made perfect Halloween attire. All it took was a box which I cut slots in to fit over the stroller handles.We used yellow posterboard to cover the box. My daughter printed out the Cabbage Patch logo and we affixed it to the front. We outlined it in green marker , put a blanket over the stroller inside, and sweet little Alyssa Ireland was the finishing touch. It was the perfect outfit for a newborn.

We visited our favorite store earlier in the morning where she slept the whole time in costume in the stroller. At the checkout, every cashier left their register to see her and called down their managers to come see her. They said she was cuter than any cabbage patch they had ever seen!
