Homemade Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Costume
I made this Homemade Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Costume for my son, Nathan, who is 19 months old and we really wanted him to be Stay Puft! We are both big Ghostbusters fans and couldn't wait to see him in it, now that he was old enough to walk and endure the costume!
I made the collar and the hat completely from scratch and the body was two white stretchy tops and pants (SO hard to find white infant stretch pants), lined together and stuffed. I topped that off with white shoes and voila! Mr. Toddler Stay Puft!
He was so good the whole night, he got tons of compliments on it and people even stopped me to take his picture! One person got ME to take a picture of the two of them with their camera! I must've had at least 5 different people mention things like, "Wow, I didn't see this on any website!", or (on the cell phone) "I swear, he really is a stay puft!". I would just nod and smile but, when I did tell people I made it, they were blown away so that tells me I did a great job! It will be hard to top this one next year but I know I can come up with something great!
