Last year, when I was pregnant, I wore a tiger onesie because it was the only thing that fit. This year, with my 5-month-old son Benjamin, I wanted to create a special mama-and-baby costume duo. I originally planned to reuse my old tiger onesie and bought a matching tiger onesie for him, but once I tried mine on, it just looked way too big. That’s when I decided to make a brand-new DIY mama tiger costume!
🐯 Mama Tiger Costume:
I found a matching two-piece tiger-striped skirt and top to start.
For paws, I added fuzzy white gloves.
On my head, I wore a tiger beanie with a face on it, and after searching for days, finally found matching tiger ears (which came with a bonus tail!).
I bought makeup, face paint, and temporary tattoos to create realistic tiger face details.
Just for fun, I layered a belly dancer’s chain bra over the costume for a little sparkle.
🐯🐾 Baby Tiger Cub Costume:
Benjamin wore his cozy tiger onesie, making him the sweetest little cub to my mama tiger.
✨ The Result:
Last year, I was a pregnant tiger. This year, I got to proudly be a beautiful mama tiger with my adorable baby tiger cub. It was a fun, homemade DIY costume idea that made Halloween extra special for both of us.
