Homemade Tin Woman Costume

I wanted to come up with something original and had never seen a tin woman so I went for it.  I found the boots at a yard sale and spray painted them.  Found the dress and silver leggings at a hoochie shop in the mall and the wig at a Halloween store.  I hot glued the wig to a funnel I had spray painted silver.  I used silver hair paint and painted any skin that was showing and used silver eye shadow on my face.  Found a heart necklace in my costume jewelry since that is what I was going to see the Wizard of Oz for.

And of course I carried around my oil can in case of emergency!  The costume was a hit and definitely original.  My husband went as the scarecrow in overalls and a flannel shirt with a little hay sewn on the top it off.
