This Mini Homemade Baby Lego Costume is my 3 month old grandson’s first Halloween Costume. He placed 1st and 3rd in two different contests. We used foam, dyed it blue and cut out the different pieces to shape it like a Lego.
We used hot glue to add the dots on to the solid rectangle pieces and did the same for the shoes. We shaped the rectangle pieces into a box and used elastic across the shoulders to keep it from falling down. For the shoes, we cut a hole in the top and left the bottom open, slid his foot on, then put his shoes on to hold it on.
As we are in a warm climate, we just used a onesie under the costume, but you could easily use a sleeper and dye the foam to match.
This was not difficult and turned out better than I thought it would. Who knew that foam would dye so well?
