We have 19 month old triplets and wanted to do some sort of theme costumes with them this year. We actually purchased the hamburger costume and thought it would be fun to dress them as a McDonald’s Happy Meal. I was unable to find the fries and drink costumes, so I set out to make them.

We made the fries out of a diaper box, covered in red butcher paper and then cut foam pieces into fry shapes. We then spray-painted them yellow. For the drink costume, we bought a macramé ring at the craft store and sewed the top of the white fabric around the ring. We then added some sheer white on top and cut slits to resemble the straw slots on the lid of the drink. For the hat, we took a paper plate and glued an empty pixie stix candy holder on top.

As a family, we added to the Happy Meal theme. My husband threw together a Superman costume with odds and ends around the house and covered himself in old mattress plastic to become the “Boy toy” in the Happy Meal. My 5 year old daughter was the princess “Girl toy” and I dressed as a McDonald’s worker with a black polo shirt, pants and made a name tag on the computer. I also printed a logo to tape over the previous logo on the black hat. I then topped it off with a fake headset bought at the Party store. I even had a McDonald’s employee ask if I worked there.

Anyway, the Homemade Happy Meal Triplets Halloween Costume Ideas were a hit with all of our friends and neighbors. It was just very difficult getting a good picture with the triplets together, so here’s the best I could get.

Imitation is a form of flattery, or so we hoped as we donned our favorite meal, the #2, from our favorite fast food establishment, In-N-Out Burger. This homemade In-N-Out Burger group costume was simple to make and extremely inexpensive.

The burger costume is made from cutting circles out of cardboard, covering it with brown fabric and stuffing, with added fabric for the cheese, special sauce, lettuce, and tomato and sandwich board straps to make it easy to wear. I took butcher paper, wrapped it around the bottom of the burger and painted it with the In-N-Out logo, just like at the restaurant.

The French fry tray costume is made from cardboard, and French fries are strips of Styrofoam painted yellow.

The cup of soda costume is created from hoola hoops of two different sizes (larger for the top, and smaller for the bottom), covered with white fabric and painted to resemble In-N-Out’s soda cups. The straw hat is made from a sheet of foam painted with red stripes.

Finally, the In-N-Out employee costume was created with a white button down shirt, black pants, and a yard of red fabric pinned in the back.

Coolest Homemade French Fries Halloween Costume 8

Homemade French Fries Halloween Costume

Joey loves Fries soo much he turned into a Homemade French Fries Halloween Costume. The costume is made from a large cardboard box. We cut it into the right shape, and cut some arm holes in the side. We stapled Red fabric to the front and back and yellow plaid to the inside. The fries are cut from foam and hot glued into the box. There was a support piece placed inside the box to hold up the fries. The monopoly pieces actually come off and present prizes just by using Velcro. A pair up suspenders helped hold the costume up and a red shirt and yellow shorts finished the costume off.

We don’t have a picture of the back but it says “I’m loving it” in black fabric. It was a bit difficult to move around a crowded room in but everyone loved it.
