Homemade White Trash Costume
I was looking for something stereotypical and CHEAP! I bought a cheap plastic garbage can (should've seen me standing in it at the store. They must've thought I was NUTS!) Anyway, I cut the bottom off the can. (Very hard to cut! You will need strong scissors!) and I spray painted the garbage can white.
After it dried, I drilled two small holes in the front, and 2 in the back, and tied thick white elastic to it so it would stay on my shoulders. I then stenciled TRASH on the front with black paint. and WHAMMO! I was WHITE TRASH!
I added a white shirt, mullet wig and an old baseball cap to polish it off! The garbage can cost about $13, and the wig about $8. The hat was a FREEBIE, because we had it laying around! I wore this to a couple of Halloween parties, and got a lot of paused looks, and then LAUGHTER, once they got it!
