Coolest Homemade Mike Wazowski Unique Boy’s Halloween Costume Idea

My 3 year old son fell in love with Monster Inc. at the end of the summer and decided that he wanted to be Mike Wazowski for Halloween. I looked around to buy a costume and found nothing. Since I can sew I decided that it wouldn’t be too hard to make my own Homemade Mike Wazowski Unique Boy’s Halloween Costume Idea.

I bought lime green fleece and a pattern for a kids pumpkin costume. Then I made the jumpsuit, the shoe covers and the body all out of fleece and cotton. Then I cut out the eye and mouth from black and white felt and sewed them to the front of the body. I got a craft foam yellow construction hat from Michael’s and painted it blue, printed the Monster Inc. ‘M’ with the eye onto a packing label and stuck it on the hat.

He loved the costume and we got tons of compliments all night trick or treating. I also attempted to make a Sully- esque hat out of fleece, but it didn’t turn out as good as I wanted, I wore it anyways. Very easy and fun costume!!
