Elliot, Gertie and ET
This ET Halloween costume took a few dollars to make all because of the authentic ET mask. I bought it online for $80. Everything else was cheap. ET’s body was actually a plastic drain spout extension that was bendable and I wrapped a pillow around it to anchor it in the crate.
The light for ET’s stomach was one of those touch lights colored with a red permanent market. The milk crate was spray painted gray and I taped a shower curtain rod to the back and put bike handles on each end. I used a small string around my neck and waste to hold everything up. Gertie’s costume was easy.
The outfit was found in the attic and the flower and hair accessories were bought at a craft store. I regret not getting a brown wig for Elliot’s hair, which I will have for next year.
