Homemade Chucky Halloween Costume

I decided on making a Homemade Chucky Halloween Costume. I purchased the overalls and stripy shirt from a St Vinnies shop for $12AU, bought a wig, some white contacts and used makeup I already had at home.

I added “good guy” to the overalls with red tape.
The wig was blond when I bought it so I tried to dye it with actual hair dye, however, this didn’t take because the wig is synthetic. I had pink and yellow hairspray at home so I decided to try that thinking that it would make orange and it worked perfectly. I did this a few days before the event and then left it to dry outside.

My make up was completed by putting foundation on, then white powder. I used an orange/red eye shadow to draw the lines of where the scars were going to go so that it gave them a bit of an orange kind of shadow. I used red lip liner to draw the scars on. I lit the eyeliner with a lighter and followed the lines I had already created with eye shadow. I had to keep sharpening the eye liner and burning it each time but it gave the scars a nice lumpy effect.

I also put a little bit of a clear face peel on the scars so they looked a bit moist and over the course of the night the scars began to peel a little bit which was a great effect. I used black eye shadow on my eyes with a little red above and below the eye.

Other than that, I bought the white contacts from an online store. They really completed the outfit and freaked everyone out the whole night.

Homemade Chucky and the Bride Twins Costume

This year I wanted my twins to steal the spotlight from everyone at the Halloween party so me and my husband decided to come up with a unique costume, not the classic salt & pepper, Thing 1 Thing 2, Pebbles and Bam Bam. We wanted a creepy costume for our infant twins and what better than a Chucky and the Bride Twins Costume!

We started the costume gathering some pictures of the characters, then I headed to eBay and
CHUCKY. Bought a newborn overall, a stripped shirt and some red infant sneakers.

TIFFANY baby girl, I found a white christening that had crosses all over it. It was 2.00 because the fabric was sewn backwards and the crosses were facing down, perfect for Tiffany. I had some black infant booties and I skipped the black leather jacket. I used some eye liner to make her mole and some minimal black eye shadow.

But something was missing so we decided we need it wigs! For the wigs we measured their head, they both were 15" and I bought porcelain doll wigs which were perfect for the portrait but they keep falling off so I attached them with a couple stitches to beanie hats.

Oh my god, those are the best costumes ever!!!! Your daughter even looks like a little doll! I dressed my two year old up as Chucky last Halloween and just submitted the pictures on this site. Did you win the contest? If you didn't then that's crazy because that's the best I've ever seen!

My child is 19 months old and the perfect size for a homemade Chucky costume this year! He has not seen the videos so he has no idea what he is but that is the way I want to keep it. The shirt and the shoes were the hardest to find but over a few months of looking I found the perfect match!

The overalls were easy as they are in style almost all year round. The hair is not dyed, it is Halloween Orange colour hair spray that I purchased from a department store in the neighbourhood. It washes right out. The makeup was Halloween makeup sticks which also comes off very easily.

No one was harmed in any way making this homemade Chucky costume. After months of looking hard for just the right pieces I have finally pulled it off! I am very happy with the outcome.

I just submitted pictures of my son in his chucky costume! It has to be approved and then it should be up. His costume is a before-the-scars version though. lol. I wish there was a way I could send you a link to my submission, once it's approved...
