Homemade UnLucky Charms the Cereal Killer Halloween Costume

I spent months thinking of what to dress up as for Halloween last year and not until the the day before did I figure out what I was going to do. Finally I typed in 'Creative Halloween Costumes' in Google, closed my eyes, scrolled down and up the page and clicked. It took me to a Cereal Killer costume. It was a person with tiny cereal boxes attached to them.

SO I decided to take this UnLucky Charms the Cereal Killer Halloween Costume to the next level. I got a box and cut out head and arm holes and spray painted red the night before Halloween then the next day while at work in my spare time I painted the box. I worked on it until about 4pm and then wore it out that night. I went to Wal-mart after work with a friend to get a fake sword, some blood, and small cereal box. Before we even made it to the cereal isle my friend spotted a 'Life' box sitting by itself and we just knew it was the perfect choice to attach to the sword.

My fiance played a rock show that night at The Hard Rock Cafe and I won $200 in the costume contest!

While I was painting my costume at work one of my bosses suggested that I write a list of cereal's that I had planned to kill on the back of the box. I don't have any pictures of the back but that's what was on the back.

Coolest Cereal Killer And Cereal Box Halloween Costume 4

Cereal Killer And Cereal Box Halloween Costume

This cereal killer and cereal box Halloween costume was an idea I came up with, by surfing on this site before Halloween.

For the cereal box: I knew it would take me a lot of time doing it if my goal was not to spend a lot of money, so I started doing it about a month before Halloween.

It is actually a regular box I got at a supermarket for free and painted it myself with acrylic paint (that was the difficult part) and then cut holes for the head and arms. So if you don't have a lot of time or you just think you're not creative enough, you could just print the pictures of the cereal box and glue them into the box.

For the cereal killer: This one was easy. I just painted "Cereal Killer" on an old t-shirt and added a spoon as an accessory to make it funnier. I also frizzed her hair to make it look more crazier.

The total cost was about 10$. That's how much the paint costs. But if you already have acrylic paint, then you could actually do it for free.

Homemade Cereal Killer Halloween Costume Idea

I had a homemade cereal killer Halloween costume idea. I made it all with things I have at home. I took a pair of old cloths and glued small cereal boxes to the shirt with knives coming out of them with the fake blood coming out and splattered over it. I had blood splattered over my pants also.

I took a head band and glued a fake ax to it and put it on my head and ratted my hair and put leaves in my hair also. I put makeup on my face to add a little more character them finished it off with a little of blood across my face.
