For this homemade Bride and Groom Lego Halloween couple costume idea - I started with 2" foam insulation for each head I cut two circles and attached them with three dowels then covered with cardboard.

For the bride I added a smaller foam piece to the top of the head and a tiara with tool for the veil. For the groom I cut a bigger circle out of foam for the brim of the hat and another for the top of the hat and connected them with tag board.

I made the bodies out of cardboard and duct tape and covered them with tag board, for a smooth look. For the bride I made a door in the back to get in and out easier. I used spray paint for the bodies and hand pained the detail with latex paint. I made the hands out of foam as well.

For the bride I used two pieces glued together and used a Pringles can for the arm. For the groom I used three pieces glued together. I painted them with latex paint. For the flowers I also used foam for the base and the top of the flower and tag board for the petal part. I made a ring out of tinfoil and self adhesive jewels.

The grooms feet were made of cardboard and duct tape and covered in tag board. I zip tied them to a pair of crocs. I cut a hole in the mouth to see and covered it with plastic mesh.

Coolest Homemade Lego Guy Costume 23

Homemade Lego Guy Costume

My husband hates dressing up for Halloween. But we were invited to a work party, which got canceled towards the end of this project. He got put in charge of finding alternative opportunities to wear these costumes.

He loves his old Legos and I thought he would get excited about being one. I was right, he really gives the costume some personality. I like to make sure he looks dashing even in a yellow head, so he got to wear a tux styled body.

The construction of the Lego Guy Costume was a fun process. My favorite was the hands – paper, foam and a lot of tape. Functionality was key! The body presented difficulty upon painting it as it is constructed from foam insulation and it melts when sprayed with spray paint. This was fixed with a trip to the hardware store by my husband who picked up more tape and an acrylic spray paint. The buttons, bow tie, and logo (on to of the head) were cut paper and added after construction with a clear, glossy acrylic layer. I left the eyes and mouth holes open for airflow and visibility.

This Homemade Lego Boy Unique Halloween Costume Idea was not to hard to do. The body and legs are made from cardboard boxes held together with duct tape and glue. The head is made of 2 plastic candy dishes bonded together, wrapped in yellow duct tape. The hands are made from Paper towel roll and plastic cups cut in half, again wrapped with yellow duct tape.

I made this costume for my 9 year old son for the 2010 Halloween. He was very popular at his school.
