SpongeBob and Patrick Costume
These days SpongeBob and Patrick is all it's talked about at home. So, there was not a surprise when the kids picked a SpongeBob and Patrick costume for Halloween. I searched for some ideas in this website, but the kids were "determined" how they wanted the costumes to look.
My son wanted to have his head inside the costume and not sticking out. So, I cut the eyes really big to allow him to breath and see and I painted the eyes in the outside. It is a cardboard box and I just hot-glued a yellow fabric that I had bought and painted the white shirt over the fabric.
The brown pants are also a fabric. I just didn't want to spend a lot of time painting the box. Patrick is also box, we just cut the top, made it pointy and taped it. This is all painted as it was difficult to find the Patrick colors in fabrics.
The costumes were really fast to make and very inexpensive. I just bought the fabric and everything else I used on them I already had in the house (paint, tape, boxes).
