I have been making costumes for years, but I’ve never had anybody to dress up with. Finally after years of bad relationships, I found my other half that loves to nerd and geek out with me. He even asked if he could make costumes with me. It was a dream come true and this year for Halloween we finally finished our first one, Vaporeon and Flareon from the Pokemon series. We “good-willed”, super thrifted, and visited many many Michaels arts and crafts store to finish these costumes.
I am so happy we get to wear these and work on our next costumes we want to wear for a day on our Japan trip later this year.
The hardest part of this costume was the orange Flareon sweatshirt, but AJ, my boyfriend, had some wonderful ideas that made it all work with a simple American apparel sweatshirt. I loved getting to spend time with him listening to music and sewing and halloween this year we are going to be the best, like no one ever was.
