The year Tiger King took over Netflix, we couldn’t resist jumping on the bandwagon for Halloween! We decided to go as Tiger King himself and “that b***h Carole Baskin.” This DIY homemade couples costume was super easy, fun, and cost less than $10 to put together thanks to some creative thrifting.
🐅 Carole Baskin Costume (Me):
I scored a sequined, big-cat print shirt at Goodwill for just a few dollars. To finish the look, I made a homemade flower crown headband using an old wreath and hot glue, then added tiger print and bone jewelry from my costume stash. Paired with jeans and black boots, it was unmistakably Carole.
👑 Tiger King Costume (Husband):
For the Tiger King look, I found a button-up shirt covered in tigers (also from Goodwill), and he wore jeans, boots, and a camo jacket. A friend loaned us a mask that looked just like Joe Exotic’s face, which made the costume complete and hilarious.
✨ People at the party loved it, and surprisingly, we were the only Tiger King/Carole Baskin couple there. Our DIY homemade costumes were such a hit that we won Best Couples Costume that year!
