Coolest Ezio from Assassins Creed Revelations Costume

My 13-year-old son wanted to be Ezio from the Assassins Creed Revelations Video Game for Halloween. I always enjoy a challenge, and this costume was definitely not easy. I challenge myself further by trying to make all our costumes from recycled clothing.

We visited the nearest Salvation Army Thrift Store and found a women’s dark coloured rain coat that we used as the “base” for the costume ($7.00). The red belt is actually the leg to a pair of pajamas. The hood and the extra layers on the coat are made from an old sofa cover. The leather armour was cut from an old ugly vest as was the fur on the shoulder.

The leather strips attaching the fur and leather to the costume are cut from old belts that we purchased from the thrift store for about a $1.00 a piece. The only item we had to buy new is the piping for along the edge of the jacket and hood. This is just ribbon that was purchased from a craft store.

The boots were the biggest challenge, as we could not find a pair of old boots that would be suitable for this costume without paying some pretty big bucks for new ones; however, I did have an old pair of women’s high-heeled boots that I no longer wore. I cut the top off the boots and sewed this section to a pair of shoes that we got from the thrift store for $2.00.

My husband built the weaponry, including the hidden blades which are fully functioning. All total, this Ezio from Assassins Creed Revelations Costume cost less than $50.00 to make!
