Twin Pregnancy Costume Two Peas in a Pod

I decided to make a costume that featured my twin pregnancy. I found out just a week ago that I was expecting a boy and a girl so I thought it would be fun to do a “two peas in a pod” costume. I never thought I would be blessed enough to have babies and now I have two on the way so I jumped at the opportunity to make a costume that showed my little boy and girl on my tummy.

It was a very easy costume to make. I bought a simple green shirt, two foam balls, green acrylic paint, black permanent marker, a tiny jewel for the girl’s bowtie, hot glue gun and some green paper streamers.

I painted the green balls and decorated their faces, glued the backside of each ball to the shirt and drew a pod shape around them. I then filled in the pod shape with green paper streamers that I hot glued to the shirt.
