Who Doesn’t love the Toy Story Movies? I know all of the kids and most grown-ups I know, do! So, this year I made my version of the popular Toy Story Little Bo Peep Halloween Costume.
I made this in infant and adult sizes. I hope you like it!
There are so many parts to this costume and so much detail. It’s a big undertaking. It comes with the bonnet, dress with peplum, and pantaloons.
I started off searching for about a month for the right shade of pink to use. Some were too dark, bright or light. I finally found what I wanted!
From there, I made the bonnet. It’s complete with satin braid trim on the brim and organza ribbon for the ties. I used a basic bonnet pattern for the base of it.
From there, I made the pantaloons. They are long, and loose fitting. Who wants to dance in tight pants, lol. I used a soft, powder blue color of cotton. From there, I cut ten rows of ruffles. I made the ruffles on my machine and attached them. I used some beautiful scalloped lace trim on the top edge. After-all, the ruffles show when wearing this costume.
Then comes the dress, this has a lot of bodice work. I made all of the rows of scalloped lace trim. Then carefully cris-crossed all of the white ribbon trim. Completed this with a wider scalloped lace trim on the bodice running vertically.
I made the sleeves big and puffy with white caps. Just like in the movie. I studied pictures from this movie a lot before making this Toy Story Little Bo Peep Halloween Costume.
Then comes the skirt, I hand cut ALL of the large, pink circles and attached them to the skirt. Painstaking yes, but totally worth it!
After thatת comes the peplum, in this case made of sparkling tulle that matches my pink color. The peplum and skirt are then attached to the bodice. The final step is the zipper.
I hope you like it!
