Coolest Homemade Drew Carey and Mimi Bobek Couple Costume

When invited to a friend’s 30th costume birthday party, there was no doubt that my husband and I wanted to go as a “couple”; but not the ordinary couple costume; something outrageous and hilarious. We came up with fabricating costumes resembling Drew Carey & Mimi Bobek from “The Drew Carey Show”.

Drew’s costume was easier; though finding the 50’s glasses and (thin) red tie was harder than we thought. We even went so far as to dye Dave’s crew-cut hair blonde.

And last but not least, fiberfill – lots and LOTS of fiberfill! The bigger we were around the waist, the better. Needless to say we were the source of many laughs at the birthday party, and we were happy to bring home the “best costume idea”!
