Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? That question may be impossible but these Chicken and Egg costumes are pretty simple to construct. The chicken is just a shirt or leotard with two white boas attached every few inches. Then I had to die some tights yellow. To make the hat I found a white toboggan and sewed some red felt to go on top. The feet are made of yellow felt with slits to slip the feet in. The egg did take a little bit of sewing, but I have very little experience and was able to construct this without a pattern.
One comment that was made several times by people that did not know me was what cute little girls, which would have been great if they were girls!!! I’m sure as my boys get older they will not think this is too funny, but I’m sure it will provide our family with many more laughs.
