Who doesn’t love Disneyland and all the princesses? I love Snow White and decided to replicate the Disneyland version instead of the original cartoon.
Because there is no pattern for this Snow White Costume, I was on my own. I looked at numerous photos on the internet searching for “Disneyland Snow White”. Trying to decide if the bodice was attached or separate. Finally I found a picture that showed the waistline which confirmed it was two pieces. It would have been so much easier if it was one piece. I had to put boning not only on the bodice where the piping is but at the bottom because the velvet just wanted to stretch out of proportion.
I went all out with costume. Silk skirt, silk sleeves, velvet cape and bodice. I made the piping myself so it would match the sleeves. I wanted perfection. I think Mr. Walt Disney would be proud.
