This was a homemade Flesh of the Zombie costume, using some prosthetics and lots of latex and blood.
It took about four days to assemble and paint, and then about four hours to apply or get into. All the zombie parts on my legs and arms were connected to an underlayer, so that they would show through the rips in the clothes more realistically.
My hands were painted with latex and distressed to look decayed and decomposing. You can’t see it in the picture, but I have a broken leg effect, dragging behind the costume and attached to my real leg, to add that extra gross out factor.
