Coolest Homemade Batman Costume

I made this homemade Batman costume suit for a party I went to. I’ve got another photo somewhere with me and mr.T, I’ll see if I can find it. For now I’ll upload the photo that was taken in front of the club.

The suit kinda lacks a proper belt, but keep in mind that this is a last minute and low (very low) budget costume. It’s a bit of a bummer that the boots aren’t in the photo, since I painted my boots black just for that night. And this is the only photo I’ve got so far (although I’m 100% sure there are more photo’s taken…)

Overall a nice costume. Not ComicCon worthy, but nice.

  1. This is one of the best Batman costumes I have ever seen. How did you make it, especially the mask because that is probably the best batman mask I’ve ever seen.
Thanks and that is Comic-Con worthy i think.

  2. Thanks! As for the mask, that was pretty much just buying a mask and than cutting some and pasting some. I aimed for the Jim Apero dimensions. Since I wasn’t going to be as buffed as the Jim Lee batman anyway :P
The paint I used for the mask is the same as the one I used for the logo on my shirt, but it looks different because of the different materials.
The belt sucks, but I’m making a belt right now that looks very much like the one in the comics.

And if I’m ever to wear a batsuit on a con (I do hope so, but I don’t live anywhere near those things) I think I will go for the movie look (Returns cowl and emblem, ’89 muscles, costume belt, etc.)
