Coolest Homemade Ash Costume

My son adores the Evil Dead series, and for a friend’s Costume/Birthday party, he decided to go as Ash from Evil Dead/Army of Darkness.

He took an old shotgun stock and made ‘sawed off’ barrels out of spray painted PVC pipe. He then created a chainsaw hand out of wood, a juice jug, paper mache, a canning lid, an empty tuna fish can, a bike chain and other bits and pieces from around the house.

A blue dress shirt and khaki pants were purchased from the thrift store and torn up, then spattered with fake blood. He dyed his naturally auburn hair black and did his make-up to add some blood and cuts and voila! Ash Costume. He took first place at the costume contest.
