My friends and I decided to do a Johnny Depp theme for a comic con we all attended. We ended up with Cry Baby, Sweeney Todd, Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands and the Mad Hatter.
For Sweeney Todd we found a shirt, vest and pants at Goodwill. For the apron I sewed together an apron and used some dollar store red paint to make some ‘blood’ smears and hand prints. The wig was an Elvira style one I had laying around in my costume stash. We cut it shorter and moved all the white hair to one side. A little teasing and hair spray and voila. I printed the blade off the internet and photocopied it reversed then glued it onto some cardboard and sewed a little pocket for it that we safety pinned onto the apron.
Jack Sparrow is a story for when I have more time. LOL
