Cool Despicable Me Minion Costume for a Woman

So in 2011 I had plans to be Sonic the Hedgehog and enlist my friend to be Dr. Eggman. Sadly, the idea didn’t materialize due to the lack of his presence. Therefore, another costume idea had to come to pass, and it did.

Back in 2010, I had seen the first Despicable Me film on my birthday in the movie theater, and it was love at first sight with those minions. Funny how this costume idea didn’t pop up in my mind until a year later.

So thanks to another person who came up with this idea for her kids, this costume was born, thanks to a visit to a tractor place (for the overalls), some Rit fabric dye (to make the hoodie yellow), and too much free time (styling up the hair on the hoodie with the help of a wig head, decorating the overalls, among other things).

To complete this costume, I had gotten a pair of black gloves, and also decorated  a denim canvas bag with the Gru insignia (not pictured).

I will always remember this costume for many Halloweens to come, or maybe I’ll just modify it a little.
