Peter Pan & Tinkerbell Costume
My husband and myself were driving back from Disney World and while the kids were sleeping, we were brainstorming on ideas for costumes. Every year we have a big Halloween costume party and wanted to be something different. I thought I wanted to be something cute, so I said what if I were Tinkerbell & you were Peter Pan in tights. Funny for him, cute for me! But he added the twist, what if he were Tink and I was Peter Pan, and the rest made history. Everyone was laughing the whole night!
My Peter Pan costume is just made of Dark Green Felt that I cut and laced up with green cross-stitch thread. I felted my own slippers and my hat was also made of felt.
Tink was a little harder, but the result was great. I took a long sleeve white shirt and dyed it a fleshy color. Then, with my mother-in-law's help we sewed a green piece to it, in the shape of Tink's dress. I bought a wig and added a little leftover fabric with some sequins.
The shoes are cheap deck shoes from Wall-Mart, that I dyed and added a pomp-pom to. What do you think?
