Pee Wee Herman Halloween Costume

My Pee Wee Herman Halloween costume made a big splash this year and it was easy too! I used an old gray suit that my Dad gave me a while ago that he doesn't use anymore. If you don't have a gray suit, Goodwill or any thrift store will have a lot of inexpensive suits.

I wore a button down white shirt and bought a cheap red bowtie at a costume shop. For Pee Wee's white shoes I had some white golfer shoes that worked perfectly, but white tennis shoes would work too. I slicked my hair back with black hair gel and put white makeup all over my face, and red lipstick.

The whole night you have to say the word of the day, and break out Pee Wee dances. You will be the life of the party!

Homemade Captain Carl and Miss Yvonne Costumes from Pee Wee's Playhouse

These Captain Carl and Miss Yvonne Costumes from Pee Wee's Playhouse was from Halloween 2007 - my boyfriend and I went as Captain Carl and Miss Yvonne from Pee Wee's Playhouse. His costume was super easy because he borrowed most of the clothes from his Dad. We used some cotton for the eyebrows and painted on the five o'clock shadow. All he needed to buy was the captain's hat.

I found this dress on clearance at a dress store, and embellished it with some big rhinestones. Then I sprayed glue over a pair of pumps and dipped them in glitter. It went over really well. A "Pee Wee" showed up to the party later in the night, but we didn't get a picture with him.

This Pee Wee Herman Costume was a last minute idea for me. Went to a few local thrift stores/good-will and picked up the grey suit for less than $10. Bought white shoes from Sears for $10, Red bow tie for $10 and had an extra white dress shirt laying around. Used my mom's make up to pale my face up and added rosy cheeks. Cut my side burns off and dyed my hair black.

Got a bunch of looks at the local Walmart and won the family Halloween costume contest.

If you're on a budget and want to turn some heads then make this costume. I even went as far as perfecting the laugh and acting the part.

Pee Wee Herman Homemade Halloween Costume

I wanted to do a Pee Wee Herman Homemade Halloween Costume for about a year and went on a searching spree for the costume. I ended up finding an old gray suit my dad had owned and by chance found it. I bought a pair of tasseled loafers on eBay and spray painted them white (would suggest using white shoe polish because the paint chipped).

I used a white button down shirt of mine with a tie I got from a Halloween store. I folded up two napkins for the hanky in the jacket. Then used some white paint to lighten up my skin tone and blush to add color to the cheeks.

I bought my suit from Goodwill and the bow tie from a men's warehouse. The shoes are some old brown ones of mine that I spraypainted.

I was a total hit out at the bars in my Pee Wee Herman costume. Everyone made great remarks or wanted to take a picture with me.
