I've updated my old costume to make it more of a superheroish character now. I got a one piece ballet tights off ebay (it has the feetzies built in them), it was 50 bucks. I got a black pair of underwear for 10 bucks to go over my suit. The cape is from Joann fabrics (I got a big piece of orange blanket material, it was on clearance for something like 4 bucks), then got some clearance black material to put "squirtman" on the cape.
I had some more material for the squirtgun symbol on front, then got boots for 60 bucks and gloves for 30 bucks. The hat is 30 bucks and has a twirly propeller on top of the hat. I also got a lone ranger mask for 5 bucks (it's kinda pricey but was worth it to make my squirtman suit much sweeter).
I have been on extra with Mario Lopez for a few secs, if you go to youtube.com - search "squirtman mario" and it will pop up :)
Plus, I met my favorite band skillet and got my pic with them and gave them squirtman dolls and squirtman dvds - hopin they will love me and ask me to be in a music video someday :)
Also don't forget to go to squirtman.com and laugh at my youtube videos and look at my photo section too... and my dad sings my superhero theme song - called 'ballad of squirtman' (squirtman is your friend) is the title:)
Each year, I take my time and come up with something funny or cool; however, this year I procrastinated and was left create a costume in a couple hours. The idea of a present came to mind, because it was easy to make. Unfortunately, a present wasn't exactly interesting and funny. I decided to slap "From God; To Women" on the front and make it God's Gift to Women. It only took about an hour and I ended up with one of the funniest costumes at the party.
How did I create this Homemade God's Gift To Women Costume? I simply bought the largest most romantic looking gift bag I could find. I cut the bottom of the bag out to allow my legs to go through it. I created shoulder harnesses with gift wrapping ribbon. I then taped some gift bag tissue to the top to complete the look.
My friend and I were party animals for Halloween. I dressed up as a peacock, and my friend was a lion, then we accessorized with party hats and party horns! I purchased a blue dress, black tights and black boots. In addition, I made a Chinese fan to create the fan of feathers. I hot glued black felt over the fan and then glued the feathers to the felt. I also wore peacock earrings.
As for the lion costume, she purchased a fur vest and handmade lioness ears by hot gluing tan and brown felt to a headband. She also wore fur cuffs and curled her hair to look like a mane! She wore a tan skirt, brown leg warmers, tan booties and a brown top to complete the lioness outfit.
This "Party Animals" Costume was fun and pretty easy to make. We got a lot of compliments all night this costume was a hit!
