Homemade Delivery Table Costume

by Ranita
(Bigelow)

i started with a portable clothing rack w/wheels for the frame of my table.i used thin plyboard with a hole cut big enough for my body to fit thru.cut the rack down to be waist level and mounted my board onto it.i used a two piece blow up doll from an old costume for my legs.i used a metal spatula to make the stirrups to hold the legs up,and i mounted small led light ,pointing at my two headed baby.then draped sheets over the legs to only leave the one foot exposed.i had to cover the other foot, because i couldnt find a Pair of feet.then i used top half of the old blow up doll to make my dr.i just bought a kid dr costume for $5,borrowed a face mask ,paper hats, paper shoes for the dr. and stethoscope from my sister the nurse. i made the dr.legs with rolled up cotton and panty hose, made them just above the floor and attached paper shoes.i also attached a round curtain rod w/2 prong hook to hang my water&blood IV and ran a thin tubing to back of hand and wrapped with tape, every detail was covered and it was the big hit of the party.the whole thing flowed around very smoothly.hardest part of this costume is finding a way to transport.

For this piggyback costume I used a garage suit stuffed in the bottom and worn on the top. A graduation gown - worn on the bottom and stuffed with a mannequin on the top.

Walk a bit hunched over and it looks like you are riding.

Tapers stilts help you stand about 7.5 feet tall, an old fur coat or similar around chicken wire makes for a great ostrich body, split an old pair of pants and drape the legs, pin shoes.

And keep your balance to become an ostrich jockey.
