Homemade One Night Stand Costume

Homemade One Night Stand Costume

I have created a Homemade One Night Stand Costume. It is full body that wears like a Hat, skirting goes to the ground, with suggestive articles on top.

I wore a sexy but NOT revealing outfit, all in red with fluffy high heel slippers. I took 1st place at the "Magic Lamp" in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

When black table cloth layer is pinned back you can see through the outer layer (but they can't see in). The costume was relatively easy to dance in. Since it wears like a hat.

Items Needed for Costume: 20" Styrofoam disc piece, cardboard same size,
1 3" stretchy headband, black material for table cloth (cut to length desired), decorative shower curtain (long), Glue Gun, items for top.

Construction: Round Styrofoam piece attached to same size cardboard (with glue gun), cut 2 slits all the way through to thread pre-cut 3" stretchy headband and re-sew. Scrape away some of the the Styrofoam to make it "concave" so it will conform to your head. Glue black material for tablecloth on top (cardboard side) and then glue decorative shower curtain on edges. When completed the headband hangs down and you slide it under your chin.

Noted Top Items: 2 battery operated candle sticks, flower arrangement, Kleenex, condoms, Viagra, energy drink, Tic Tacs, keys, hand cuffs, pregnancy test, mask, a lighter, motion lotion, a GOOD picture, and 2 cocktail glasses.

Suggested Clothing: Bathrobe and slippers with smeared make-up (looks like just woke up) or a sexy outfit can be worn.

One Night Stand Costume

One Night Stand Costume

I saw a store bought costume called "One Night Stand" while I was out looking for parts to my costume for the character 'Alex' from Clockwork Orange. I thought it was really clever, but I didn't pick it up at the time thinking I would just do the Clockwork Orange costume. I later found out that I had another party to go to and wanting a second costume I went back to pick one up.

So... they were sold out when I went back, but not to be defeated that easily and being fairly handy, I decided that I would give making my own a try this year for a One Night Stand costume.

I started with a cardboard box from work and a dream... ha ha ha - I went to a craft store and picked up some colored paper and spray adhesive, I got a lampshade and an old clock from a thrift store. I glued a couple of condom wrappers and a box of Kleenex along with "Tiffany's" phone number on a post-it note.

The finishing touches for the costume when wearing it out will be to have my best friend's girlfriend put lipstick marks on my collar and plant one on my cheek and I will be all set! :)

I spent around 5 hours and $40 making this costume and I am really happy with how it turned out and way better than the store bought one any day!

Dear Sir,
I have a party tomorrow and I constructed a similar costume, all out of recycled and free materials! I decided I would have someone lipstick my white shirt too. How do you keep it around your waste though??
help would be appreciated!!!

How it works
by: Ross

Well I made the nightstand with a solid top to start with and it is two layers of cardboard thick, then when it was time to cut the hole - I measured around my waist with a piece of string and then laid the string onto the surface of the table in an oval shape and cut the hole slightly smaller than what my waist is. I test fitted the stand a couple of times with the pants I was going to wear and used and exacto knife to trim away the excess until it fit around my waist snug and would stay up but so that I could still wiggle out of it.

Hope this helps!

Homemade One Night Stand Costume

The Homemade One Night Stand Costume was a big hit! I entered in a costume contest at a local bar and took first place.

Items used:
cardboard box (for the table), 1 yard of fabric (to cover the table), lampshade (hat), bra (hat), condoms, empty beer cans, ash tray, and fishing line (for the straps. Had a great time and got a lot of complements. It was very light weight and easy to take off and put on. I recommend this costume for a costume party at the a bar or and adult party.

I took an old cardboard box and cut out head and arms, covered it with paper and made drawer fronts and attached them put all kinds of silly things on top of box such as ashtray crushed beer cans and clock. I then took a lampshade and put a light inside of it and attached it to my head.

Hope you like my Homemade One Night Stand Costume.
