The costumes I made for my girls for the parade were to big and out of control to go to the school party with, so I came up with another idea for the girls to be at the party.
Pop singers Katty Perry and Madonna, I think Katty is the only one Madonna hasn't sung with or kissed (lol), so I used a dress that my daughter wore to a sweet 15 (it was a theme party) and used that to be the candy dress for my little one and made my oldest Madonna which if you look around the house you can put together pretty easily. For these Katty Perry and Madonna Costumes you just need the right wigs. Hope you enjoy.
I have been a big Madonna fan for a long time. I decided to try to make a famous outfit of hers from a plain piece of canvas. I pleated it, then treated like a one piece swimsuit-like piece, then corseted them all together so it laced up on the sides. It snaps on the crotch and used a bra with birthday hats to form the bodice and coned breast area.
I then spray-painted the whole thing gold and made a head set microphone from wreath-making wire and nail polish and then used blonde hair braided and glued to a margarine container to create her famous hairstyle. I'm really happy with the end result of this homemade Madonna costume.
