Homemade Little Bo Peep and Her Lost Sheep Costume
For Halloween this year, my daughter dressed in a Homemade Little Bo Peep and Her Lost Sheep Costume.
To make the sheep costume, I purchased an inexpensive, plain, long-sleeved white cotton T-shirt, several sizes larger than my daughter would typically wear. I placed a piece of cardboard inside the shirt to ensure the glue wouldn't adhere to the underside of the shirt. I purchased two large bags of cotton balls. You may need more or less depending on the size of the shirt. I used school glue to adhere cotton balls to the front and back of the t-shirt. (I dipped each cotton ball individually.) I used a yard of small white curtain pompoms and machine sewed them around the bottom of the t-shirt to finish the look. My daughter wore black cotton pants underneath.
For the bonnet, I used a pre-made white toddler's bonnet. I machine sewed additional small white curtain pompoms around the brim. I purchased a square of white and pink felt. I stenciled a pattern for the ears on paper and transferred the pattern to the white felt. I cut two ears from the white felt. I then made a smaller version of the ear and cut two more ears from the pink felt. I used school glue to attach the small pink ears to the larger white ears. I then hand stitched the ears in a downward fashion onto the sides of the bonnet. I removed the plain white ties and replaced them with pink satin ribbon.

Little Bo Peep Looking for her Sheep Costume
This Little Bo Peep Looking for her Sheep Costume is one of my mom's amazing Halloween costumes. It is Little Bo Peep who is looking for her lost sheep. She made a very cute little pink dress with the white apron and Bo Peep hat. They used a wig with the big blond curls.
The cute part was they attached the lost sheep to the back of the dress, attached to a little wooden plant cart with wheels. That way every time she turned, the sheep would stay hidden behind her. She also attached a hula hoop to the hem of the dress, which was then attached to the wooden cart to keep it firm.
They had a shepherd's staff, but also had a milk carton with 'Missing Sheep' and a picture of the sheep on it. She walked around asking people if they'd seen her little lost sheep all night. It was priceless!

Homemade Lil Bo Peep and the Man Who Stole My Sheep Costume
I wanted something completely different. I talked my husband into being a sheep doer and I would be Lil Bo Peep. This Lil Bo Peep and the Man Who Stole My Sheep Costume was a huge hit! Everywhere we went folks had to get pictures! We didn't enter any contest but I have no doubt we could've won!
I searched on line for 3 months trying to find a blow up or stuffed sheep and finally found a blow up on a website that I was very embarrassed to buy from. It was a little difficult traveling from one party to the next but we did it. We used industrial strength sticky Velcro to stick to Ellie's (the sheep) back legs and below her tail then the other side of the Velcro we put on my husband's overalls in a position for Ellie to stick to him below the belt.
