Homemade Kissing Booth Costume

This Kissing Booth Costume I came up with when I was thinking about getting my first kiss. I was really depressed because everyone at my school was kissing girls and I was really jealous. I thought maybe, if I can't get the girls to come to me with my looks, maybe I can get them with a Halloween costume.

I got to work right away sketching out ideas of what I could do when it finally hit me. I can make a kissing booth! I got a big cardboard box and I cut a big hole in the front. I printed out the word "KISSING BOOTH" and pasted it on the front. I also made up a rule list so I wouldn't have little six year old girls chasing me around or any gay guys. I also put right on there that all kisses were free.

I didn't get a kiss from the girl I liked but that was probably because I was to chicken to go up to her, but I got a kiss from a bunch of hot women in their 20s!

I made this Homemade Kissing Booth Costume for Halloween last year. Everyone loved the idea! The costume was very easy to make, I hot glued the satin material onto a box, make sure the box is not too wide or it is hard to move your arms. I also made sure the box was not too long so I could sit down when I wanted to. Cut 2 holes for your arms, make sure they are of good size or it will be hard to put on. The letters were on heavy paper stock that I cut out with a cricket, curtains were swatches that I found online.

The box was held on with 2 elastic shoulder straps on the back of the box. I got lucky enough to find a purse at the local Goodwill that matched the curtains perfectly and it held chocolate kisses that I handed out. This is a perfect "singles" costume as I had fun kissing those that I wanted and giving chocolate kisses to those that I didn't. Have fun with it!

What do you dress up as when you are desperate for some male attention but slightly shy and need a way to say hello and sneak a free kiss at the same time?

A kissing booth! Hours of entertainment, but don't forget your chapstick or breath freshener.

A Homemade Kissing Booth Costume is always a winner at dress up parties. They might take up a bit of extra space on the dance floor but when you're a kissing booth you have people lining up for a piece of the action.

This design took me a few hours to complete with red undercoats, pink detailing, white hand-drawn Victorian motifs and hand dyed pink silk roses. Who would have thought golf storage boxes would be the perfect size for a box of love?

Please Note: Wear with caution? You will be required to kiss all the hotties as well as the notties!

We make our costume's every year to save money. This year I came up with a "SOLD OUT Homemade Kissing Booth Couple Costume " idea. It was super easy to make. And everyone's reactions to it was awesome.

I wore the kissing booth and my better half wrapped almost 2000 fair tickets around his neck making me a "Sold Out Kissing Booth". I spent $3 on the tickets at Wal-Mart. And everything else was free because I already had paint, string, black fabric, tape at home and the box came from the restaurant I worked at.
