Jack in the Box Costume
We made this Jack in the box costume for my son about 5 years ago. We started off with a box. We painted it gold and then decoupaged (glued over) a printed picture of a Jack-in-the-Box. I drew the curtain and then I used star stickers to add effect. We found a gold rope and used it as trimming and then also used it as straps to hold the box on my sons shoulders.
We then bought a knob at home depot for the handle. I cut the red neck piece out of felt, bought some simple white gloves, and we already had the jester hat. We got raves about this costume!
