Coolest Homemade Big Spoon Little Spoon Couple Costume Idea
This costume is intended for a couple or just a pair of funny friends who love to cuddle and spoon! SImple and cheap to make, the big spoon/ little spoon duo is sure to make others laugh. With just the idea and a roll of aluminum foil, the spoons were brought to life. Black background outfits allowed the spoons to pop. The process of making the spoons takes about 10 minutes a piece. Other items used to bring it all together were a hot glue gun and a roll of velcro tape. Once the round part of the spoon was constructed (simply by folding the foil again and again over each other into shape), the handle was hot glued to the back. The velcro strips worked perfectly on the back of the spoons to the shirts, allowing for the shirts to be worn again without any damage! The words "Big Spoon" and "Little Spoon" were then added to each costume. The spoons were truly a hit at every party attended and they were sure to turn some heads. With this costume idea, you'll be spooning all night! Shotty little spoon!
Have you had your meal today because it Skyler's Happy Meal Time. My 3 year old son loves Happy Meals and so this year I decided to make him a Hamburger in a Happy Meal. I began 3 months ago when I started to collect logos from Happy Meal boxes to attach to the sides and back of the box so it could look like a real Happy meal. Since McDonalds changes the logos every month we had to start early so we could have different characters. The week of Halloween I was in the arts and crafts stores every day - plenty of reward points earned LOL!!!
We painted the box red and after that I let Skyler's imagination flow. We laid out the back and sides of the box and I attached them and when the big day finally arrived I painted his face and he put on his hamburger costume and got into the box and looked in the mirror and said "Is that ME - Skyler?". It was amazing and well worth the hard work!
I used two presentation boards for the french fries, and painted the M logo. I cut out holes for her arms, and used foam pieces from an old pillow for the fries. The costume didn't take longer than two hours to make, and it was a huge hit at the school! The head on a platter idea I got from your web site as well. I used a cardboard box and I bought a cheap Halloween table cover. I put her head inside a foil pan the I cut, but I protected her neck by lining it with cardboard. I decorated the table with fake fruits, and put fake blood on her for the full effect. My boys just wanted to be Jason from Friday the 13th, so they just wore masks and carried machetes around.
A parade of twins was held here in the Philippines. It showcases twins of all ages and we were asked to have them wear their most unique costume.
Most of the pairs wore ready made costumes like super heroes, traditional costumes and popular comic character. I decided to make a costume for my 2 months old twins that would really catch attention. I decided to make a burger and fries costume for them.
I bought foam and some excess cloth to make the veggies to fill the sandwich and with the use of a glue gun, the work was done. My twins won the Best in costume for twins. They were really eye catching and a real match! They were even featured in one television station here as the cutest!
It is always a challenge to come up with a new costume each year for our 5 children... never can they wear the same costume. Colby loves MC so we thought we would try creating a homemade French Fry costume! Turned out wonderful!
