Made my twins homemade bunch of grapes costumes for Halloween. Very easy steps to build and they were a huge hit.
I made the purple grapes so I started off with purple shirts and black leggings.
I bought a large bag of purple balloons at the party store, a box of safety pins, and some green felt.
First you must blow up all the balloons, make sure they are different sizes. After all balloons are blown up this is where your crafty skills need to come in. You will need to attach the safety pins to the balloons tie, be careful not to puncture the balloon.
Start at the top of the shirt collar, and in an upside down rainbow motion start to pin them to the shirt. My kids were small so the top layer was 6 balloons the second layer 5, 3rd layer 4, 2nd layer 3, then 2 then 1.
Green felt to make the stem and leaf, cut out a large leaf to attach to the middle of bunch of grapes. I then cut a a small circle and attached to their heads with bobby pins, and your done, you will have a great bunch of grapes!

Homemade Bunch of Grapes Costume Idea
This Bunch of Grapes Costume Idea was easily made. All that is needed is 1 packet of balloons, purple or green (I got metallic purple ones from a party shop), green material (cheap lining is what I used). I made the leaf out of cardboard, left a little lip on the end and attached it onto an old hairband with super glue. Covered the lot, even my face and shoulders with green material, cutting out slots for eyes and mouth.
Next time I would not cover entire face as it got annoying when nobody knew who I was when talking to people I knew. Best way to attach balloons is with safety pins. Make sure you have lots or the costume looks a little flimsy! Be prepared to have people burst them! I brought a spare pack and still had none left at the end of the night!
Any kind of similar coloured clothes underneath completes the outfit! Make sure its something you're happy wearing though as by the end of the night, it is likely that it is all that will be left!
The DIY Raspberry Halloween Costume Idea was such fun to make and dress up as. I went to the craft store and looked around the fake flower section and found two huge leaves. I super glued the two leaves and clipped the stem about so there was about 8 inches left to stick in my hair. The stems were thick so I wrapped the stem with ribbon so I can put some hair pins through the ribbon to attach to my head.
I also super glued another leaf piece onto some ribbon and tied that around my head. I then used about 15 red balloons and safety pinned them accordingly with the smallest balloons near the bottom.
It was fun and easy and it only cost about $13 to make. But watch out, people will try to pop your balloons at the party so better be on your toes.
After much discussion and debate about what to be this Halloween, I finally decided to turn myself into a pineapple. Of course, it was much easier said than done.
This Homemade Pineapple Costume was made with a foam mattress pad hot-glued to six foam pipe insulators (apparently you can't buy pool noodles in the fall). Green, brown and yellow spray paint was used on the outside of the foam mattress pad. I also cut spikes out of bright yellow craft foam and hot- glued them on the outside.
The top was created with poster board, wire and even more hot glue. Once the top was totally assembled, I spray painted the entire thing green. Oh yeah, I wore a green beanie with more poster board spikes as well.
