Coolest Nickelodeon Guts Contestant Costume 2

This was an amazing sports contest TV show for kids back in the 90's. 3 kids (in purple, red, or blue) would go through a series of events to win points and make it to the finals. In the finals, you had to climb the Aggro Crag, a large foam mountain with obstacles and foam boulders. The winner of the whole competition would win a piece of the Aggro Crag, which glowed green and sat on a trophy base.

This Nickelodeon Guts Contestant Costume is EXACT to the outfits they wore. I spent several days putting detail and work into making the costume. The helmet, shirt, shorts, gloves, glasses, and pads are store bought. What I did for building was as follows:

Shirt: Painted logo on by hand and brush and yellow arm stripes are duct tape.

Shorts: Yellow stripes are duct tape.

Helmet: Side decals and front personalized name logo are custom made.

Elbow/Knee Pads: Custom painted yellow by myself.

Aggro Crag: Base is built of cardboard, duct tape, and paint. Logos were made and printed off and then glued on. Rock itself was made of neon green for sale sign, tape, and spray paint.

Homemade Global Guts Costume

Last year my friends and I decided to go as Global Guts contestants. It was a fairly simple to make. We used bought blank t-shirts and ironed on the Guts logo. We then bought arm pads, knee pads, and helmets (which we covered with yellow duct tape). Underneath we all wore black spandex tops and bottoms. To top it off, I made the aggro-crag trophy out of a block of wood and painted it lime green.
