I got my inspiration for my "Dead Head in the Freezer' costume from various sites including yours. It was a big hit on the night.
Here is how we made it:
1)We got a cardboard box, bent it into shape and hot-glued it together 2)We then put a foam piece for the top. 3)We spray painted it all white, including the inside. 4)We cut and made freezer doors. 5)To make the handles, we wrapped cardboard in foil then glued them on. 6)Next we spray-painted the top inside as well as the shelves. 7)We used foam for the door shelves and put blobs of red paint all over it. 8)In order to wear/carry the costume, we placed rope inside with padding for the shoulders. To cover that up we used some ‘Happy Halloween’ tape to hide it. 9)Finally we went mad decorating it: we filled urine specimen bottles with yellow jello and used an old egg carton in which we placed plastic eyeballs. To hide the hole for the wearer's head, we used red crêpe paper.
Additional decorative items: •pen blood syringes •flies •rats •spiders •cobwebs •a hand at the door •nail through her head •candy blood bags •ghoulish candy body parts •rubber body parts on ‘meat trays’ (we got them from a butcher).
My Daughter wanted to be scary this Halloween so she picked the frozen head in a fridge Halloween costume. We had a blast making the costume together.
We took 2 boxes and painted them white and attached them together. Then we measured and cut the opening for her head to come through. We had lots of fun adding the details with the ice cube tray and the items in the freezer. We included handles and a popular appliance logo to the front.
We also thought it was cool to have a little LED light inside to cast an evil glow upon her frozen head! She could walk around and control opening and closing the door from a secret inside handle we installed.
Trick or treating on Halloween was insane, we were getting stopped to pose for pictures all night. All our neighbors enjoyed her parading around that night as much as she did.

The Frozen Head in Fridge Costume was made from two boxes taped together. The first box was smaller for the freezer part of the fridge. I had to cut out a door to make a opening for the head and the second box was larger for the bottom part of the fridge. I used two pieces of bent cardboard covered in duck tape to make the handles, I taped some pictures and fridge magnets on the front to personalize it.
After applying some blue and white paint inside the top part of fridge then placed two empty ice trays in the freezer and an empty ice cream tub. I applied some white and grey makeup and put some flower in my hair.
This costume was very unique and even came in first place, for best Halloween costume over my entire school.

The "frozen head" costume was created using an old water heater box made into a refrigerator with an upper freezer. I used a styrofoam "shelf" to stick my head through and added "rails" on each side of the interior of the freezer compartment for the shelf to rest on. I then covered the interior with "spider webbing" to make it look like "freezer vapor" and added an empty ice cream box and ice cube tray for effect. My face was covered in fake "ice" dripping and white/black/and green make-up and I had fake blood dripping from my mouth. The make-up items were all purchased at a Halloween store.
My boyfriend (the "ghoul" costume) was dressed in a simple black hooded gown and painted his face with the same make-up that I used. He purchased the bloody plastic chopper at the Halloween store.
