Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Costumes

We decided to go for the Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Costumes since our boys love the show, and I am short and full figured and my husband is tall. We went to our local thrift store and found the vest, shirt, and pants for dog, and some Indian looking beading for his arms that we cut to size and moved the beads around a little.

I found the wigs at a Halloween store and cut the front teased and added feathers and beads from the Dollar store for dog, and curled Beth’s and REALLY HAIR SPAYED them both. I had an old pair of fake leather pants I could not fit into, so I cut them down the seams and made a skirt for Beth with no sew tape. I wore two bras and stuffed the sides with old shoulder pads form some 80 clothes in the back of my closet (you would be surprised what’s in your closet that you do not need). This gave me so much cleavage that I had trouble seeing my feet.

I bought my boots at the thrift store for Beth and my husband had a pair of cowboy boots in the back of his closet. I found glue on nails and lip stick from the local drug store, in pink of course for Beth. My husband is a police officer so we used old badges covered in foil to wear around our necks.

We had the best time that night and were not uncomfortable at all (no need for sweaty masks). It was some DOG gone good time!

We started out looking to be Dog and Beth and once we found the AWESOME wig in the Halloween shop (called "bounty hunter"), it was full on!

We scoured around and finally found a vest for my husband in the Biker section of the Halloween store, (size is 'one size fits most' , being it didn't fit, just made the costume better!).

I got a skirt in the Jrs. Dept (they seem to be a bit shorter!). We added some handcuffs, gloves, of course some sunglasses and got some Police badges. I was able to get the shoes (which I can wear again) at a local Marshall's store, and got some FBI pretend plastic gun holders (which they don't carry, so we put flashlights from the dollar store in them). The female wig is actually the Male Rocker wig, that I teased and hair sprayed then upped my makeup to look more dramatic.

I was able to get fake nails at the dollar store, and had the shirt already. The belt I found at a Marshall's store also and my husband's arm 'jewelry' is actually the neck-piece to an Indian costume found at the Halloween store, tied really tight. My husband went to the local 'Lebos' and got a belt and buckle. I also stuffed 'Beth's Assets' a bit for some added fun!

The costumes were a big hit and a lot of fun to wear!

Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Costumes

Well we never dress up, so we figured we would dress up in Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Costumes.

Just wore black clothes and bought a blonde wife for me and the mullet wife for my husband. The beads I made for my husband's costume came from Wal-mart, just made two to go around his arms. Made a necklace and some beads for the wig. I printed out the badges online and used walkie talkies my son had and his handcuffs.

We wore our own black clothes and bought a leather vest for him at the flea market for $15. I made our badges out of a black ID holder. I cut out circles of cardboard and wrapped them in Reynolds wrap and super glued them. The handcuffs were toys from the dollar store. Beths boobs were from a bra I bought from Wal Mart that will make you 2 sizes larger!

Hope you like our Homemade Peanuts Gang Group Costume.
