Homemade Spongebob Squarepants Costume
For this Spongebob Squarepants costume we used felt material for the main part of the costume, then we added a hat to the interior to hold the suit in place. Then we added a pair of old dress shoes (worn once for a wedding), a pair of white socks, and red and blue electrical tape for the tube sock look.
For the "boxed" look on the head we used a piece of sturdy Styrofoam. We hand sewed the face to the costume, and for the enclosure on the back we used self adhesive Velcro.
This costume cost me $8.00 to make!
