Homemade Spongebob Costume

The Spongebob costume is made of cardboard with wood reinforcements, a layer of fiber fill (the stuff you fill cushions with), and felt (yellow, brown, and white). There are two padded beams going through the suit allowing it to sit comfortably on my shoulders.

The facial features I made on the computer and printed them on thick card then glued them on the suit. The eye holes are made of thin stocking material so I can see out but it looks like they're just black. I painted my arms and legs with face paint to complete the costume.

I made it over the school holidays, the biggest cost was the fabric, all together coming to around $60.

There's a bottle holder in the front of the suit.
