Homemade Shrek Group Costume
In 2007 my family went as Shrek and his cohorts.
My son's donkey costume was purchased in 2004 when my daughter went as donkey and I as Shrek the first time. She had been in the hospital and when trying to cheer her up I promised to go as Shrek which included shaving my head and mustache. So when the second movie came out and my son fit the costume I had to do it again.
My Daughter decided to be puss in boots this time. Her costume was a shirt of my wife's and the hat and sword were purchased at the local party store as well as the make up. Total cost here less than $25.00
The Shrek costume is a thermal shirt with a cut up brown vinyl table cloth as a vest. My Mother-in-law made the pants from fleece blanket materiel. I don't recall the cost from back then.
My wife was Fiona with one of her good dresses and a wig and ears with crown - cost 12-13 dollars.
