Scarecrow Halloween Costume
I decided that I wanted Daniel to have a scarecrow Halloween costume this year (2008) but I could not find his size in-store or on-line. I was determined to make him a scarecrow. So I checked on-line for ideas from other pictures. I scrounged around home to see what I had to use.
I wound up using a hat, shirt, bandana and pants that I had. Then I went to buy the straw etc. I found a hula table skirt at party city and cut it up for the hat, neck, sleeves and ankles. Then I bought brown felt and cut it to shape and leaves and patches. I hot glued and sewed everything.
I also had to buy a black turtle neck for under the shirt because he would be cold, which also made the costume even nicer. Then, the leftover straw, I put in his wagon and wrapped leaves around the sides and we went trick-or-treating. We had lots of fun. Everybody loved him. Even he enjoyed himself.
