Homemade Robot Halloween Costume
I wanted to make a Robot costume reminiscent of a 50's Sci-Fi Movie. Since I wanted a Retro-metallic look, I made body and head all out of metal. I used about 1000 nuts and screws putting it together, when it was finished it weighed about 35lbs.
The head is connected to the body so that it can rotate around, and also easily removed. The eyes have pin holes cut into the eyes; this makes it easy to see out of, but hard to see in.
The arms and legs are made from a metallic looking fabric to give it a industrial look, finished off with Black gloves and boots.
I had a lot of fun making it. It was a bit hit at our Halloween Party.
