Pretty Little Princess!
Mermaid Princess, not Ariel. My daughter had the desire to be Ariel for Halloween last year when she was 6 yrs. old but I just couldn't bring myself to buy her the huge red wigs little girls wear to pull off being Ariel. Also so many of the mermaid costumes are slightly immodest for children. So with a little smooth talking and promises of a little candy she agreed that we could make her a beautiful Mermaid Princess costume.
I took her shopping with me for the fabric and let her pick out colors she favored. Then I let her participate each step of the way during the construction process until completion.
She was so happy when it was finished and it turned out wonderful and completely modest for the young 6 year old she was. She loved that it fit her so perfectly and it made her feel so special.
Also,I was extremely happy that I pulled off not having to buy the wig!
