Homemade Happy Meal Costume
A McDonald's Happy Meal is probably my son's favorite treat, and it is what we chose for his costume this year. He really loves it as you can see by the smile on his face.
Honestly, all the materials I used were items we had around the house, so the total cost for this costume was $0.
I completely cut the bottom out of a pretty large size box. Then I carefully cut off the two shorter top flaps. I covered the outside of the box with red construction paper attached with glue.
For the handles we cut two pieces of construction paper and glued one on the front and one on the back. Next we cut out and glued on the golden arches decoration to make it a real Happy Meal.
To hold the costume on, I used some strips of red felt that was left over from a previous project and hot-glued them to the inside front and back of the box.
This costume was very quick and easy to make. It would even be a good project for a child to help with.
